Meet Sugey ("Sue-Hay")
After working in the real estate field for 7 years, Sugey left her corporate job at the age of 28 to pursue a deeper passion in the field of psychology. She always knew that working in the profession of helping others build skills to cope with the challenges of life, via thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, in order to enhance the mind was where she belonged. After transitioning out of her corporate career, she decided to pursue graduate school in the field of psychology.
Sugey (“Sue-Hay”) graduated with a doctorate in clinical psychology in May 2024. Sugey completed an APA-accredited internship in Los Angeles in community mental health. Sugey is now working at UCLA as a postdoctoral clinical psychology fellow working with families and their children. Sugey plans to pursue licensure in 2026.
Sugey has a Master of Arts (MA) in sport psychology and working towards certification to become certified as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) – administered by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
Sugey's passion lies deep in serving with love and compassion while attuning to the other in the art of the work. Sugey continues to be inspired to serve a diverse population.
